Riverside Lodge - Langtang Village

From Riverside Lodge to Langtang Village is a four hour walk. It's a not very hard although you ascent to 3300 meters, but if you start early take your rests drink enough water and stop to enjoy the scenery, it won't be to difficult.  After an hour walking from River Side Lodge through the last parts of the forest there is a big open field with marvelous views over the mountains Ghoratabela (3020 m). A lot of people gather together at this point to get a rest and stare at marvelous mountains that you now can see very clearly. After five minutes or something you get to a checkpoint of the Langtang Valley National Park. After the paperwork you entering the valley. From now on, you'll be surrounded by stones, rocks, big mountains, some bushes, yaks, cows, goats, a few mani walls. Another hour takes you over a pretty flat trail to Thyangsyapu (3120). Only the last part is quite steep, but once your up, you can enjoy a nice cup of tea if you like.  Since you've been turning the corner of the valley, now you have a nice view of Tsergo Ri (4984). You can also see Langtang Village which is a nice motivation. The next part is not so difficult, a little bit up and down. Just before Langtang Village you pass a high bridge, have a short steep ascent and then you are entering Langtang Village. In the first part you find all the hotels, in the last and higher part of Langtang village after passing two mani stone walls you will find the normal homes. Between the normal homes you have these nice "roads" with high stone walls.
